HELP! In-Zelda: A link to the past for Super Nintendo. After you defeat Ganon, can you still play in the game?

Some people may not know what I am talking baout. But others will. Ok after I defeated Ganon it won't let me save. So I watch the ending and credits. It says my number of games played. And then says THE END. After that the only choice that is given to you is to restart. So I restart and it sas my game number by link when starting the game. I go into the game and I am back in the dark world, and Ganon is yet again not defeated. After you defeat Ganon is there absolutly nothing else you can do? Can you walk around and enjoy the new "GOOD" world or not.

Answers are appreciated. I really would like to know.

P.S.I posted a similar question to this (Deleted it) because it didn't explain my problem 100%.

The answer is an easy one for those of us who have played this game over and over.

First when you defeat Gannon in the Pyramid in the Dark World that is the end of all game play for that one. Now you can select that game over and over and play and play and play but all you really have left to do is kill Gannon again.

Now after you defeat Gannon and you go back to the save screen that has the 3 save spaces for games you are going to see a number in the upper right hand corner of link, that number indicates the number of times you died during your total time of playing that game from start to finish.
